- Before and AfterChallenge #1 – Youth football player moves up to a heavier weight class. Before: Marc was moving up in weight class and is on the younger side of that weight class. Chris coached him in his first year of playing football and his parents wanted us to equip him with the edge he would need to compete at a heavier weight class. The Solution: We worked with Marc across a total of 29 sessions, focusing on working on his takeoffs and his foot movements. Marc had heavy feet which is generally does not work in the favor of a lineman. He was slow getting out of his stance and was getting hit by the defensive player before he could strike first. The Result: As a result of adopting and applying the fundamentals he was equipped with, Marc was lighter on his feet and quicker out of his stance. He ended up playing on the Sunday team which is for the more experienced and older players. He had a great season and dominated most everyone he played against. Marc has already made a commitment to train with Red Zone blocking clinics next year, with big hopes to play on the top…
